PAST EVENT

For the first time since the Space Shuttle was retired in 2011, as NASA Director Jim Bridenstine puts it, "American astronauts will fly on American rockets from American soil." SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsule is newly tested, certified, and ready to go, and we get a front-row seat to the launch!

The launch itself is scheduled for Saturday May 30, 2020, 15:22 EDT. This event opens at T-4 hours so we can watch:

  • T-4:00:00 - Crew suiting up
  • T-3:22:00 - Crew board the Tesla Model X "astrovan"
  • T-2:55:00 - Crew arrives at launchpad
  • T-2:35:00 - Crew board the spacecraft
  • T-1:55:00 - Hatch close
  • T-0:45:00 - Fuel loading begins
