Ekaterina will speak about Career guidance in VR: experiences from Virtual Internship project.
Jose Garcia Estrada is a Postdoctoral fellow with the IMTEL group, the Department of Education and Lifelong Learning at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Jose holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. He has several years’ experience in VR using stereo projection and headsets, including integrating agents and VR, AR for museums, collaborative co-located interaction in VR, substitutional reality and digital storytelling.
Jose is currently working on a project investigating methodologies and best practices for integrating XR in higher education. This project looks to collaborate with educators with experience in XR in order to increase our understanding of the use of immersive technologies in higher education. The results of this project should help us to enable and prepare educators without experience in XR to integrate these technologies as a teaching resource.
Jose will speak about creating a methodology to prepare educators in using XR in teaching and learning.
Educators in VR hosts weekly workshops on Tuesday and workshops, classes, and trainings throughout the week in AltspaceVR and hosts a variety of events in ENGAGE, rumii, Mozilla Hubs, and more.
